Liber809: What Is It?

So I've been working on this project for a month or so, keeping notes on my Mac.  It's time to put everything in a blog so people can follow.

What is the Liber809?  It's a 6809 daughterboard that plugs into 6502 based computers such as the Atari 8 bit systems.  Essentially, it does a brain transplant, removing the 6502 and putting a 6809 in its place.  I've been wanting to do this for years, and being mostly a software guy that wants to learn hardware, I thought it would be a great project.
